About Father Lee Nelson

Father Lee Nelson is a youth ministry practitioner and ordained priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth.  A graduate of Texas A&M University (BBA, 2002) and Nashotah House (M.Div. 2005), he spent the last three years as Director of Youth and Family Ministries at Saint Laurence Church in Southlake, Texas and is now the Rector of The Church of Saint John the Evangelist in Stockton, CA.  As the founder of Youth Formation Ministries, he is currently finishing the basis of the ministry - a catechetical manual for catechists to youth - Youth Formation.  He is also currently in the process of writing a book, Catechetical Youth Ministry.

Believing that youth ministry is primarily a ministry of teaching, discipleship, and modeling of christian living, he is passionate about raising up a generation of biblically literate and converted young people who see themselves primarily as witnesses for Jesus Christ.

Over the past few years, he has served as a member of the Young Anglicans Summit, the Youth Ministry Advisory Committee of the Diocese of Fort Worth, and the faculty of the Saint Michael's Conference.

He currently lives in Stockton, CA with his wife Ela and his two kids, Moira and Oliver.
